Credit Manager

Montréal, Québec

Open position


Reporting to the Director of Corporate Accounting, the Credit Manager will be responsible for researching and evaluating clients creditworthiness, negotiating payment terms and ensuring overall reduction of payment delinquency on assigned accounts, leveraging internal and external contacts to accelerate the collection process, while maintaining good relationships with both customers and internal stakeholders.


  • Maintain, update and archive customer payment files
  • Research and evaluate clients creditworthiness
  • Reconcile customer disputes as they pertain to payment of outstanding balances that are due
  • Negotiate payment terms and ensure reduction of delinquency for assigned accounts
  • Establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships with customers and sales
  • Enlist the efforts of sales, senior management or legal counsel when necessary to accelerate the collection process
  • Provide customer service regarding collection issues, customer refunds, account adjustments and short payments
  • Perform other assigned tasks and duties as required


  • 10+ years of progressive experience in an accounting role
  • College diploma or equivalent in Accounting, Banking or Finance is preferred
  • International collections experience and industry knowledge are strong assets
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
  • Experience with integrated ERP system is an asset
  • Trilingualism (French, English & Spanish) is an asset.
