The new Hinged Fuel Cap Kit converts the existing locking or non-locking fuel cap to a hinged fuel cap. The Hinged Fuel Cap Kit prevents the cap from damaging the aircraft if the fuel cap is left open at takeoff. The kit consists of two plastic hinged parts that pick up on existing fasteners on the airframe and are bonded to the fuel cap. The Hinged Fuel Cap is constructed of durable CNC machined plastic to comply with lightning strike requirements. *Hinge installs on existing air frame fasteners and bonds to customer supplied locking (p/n 109-0815V06-101 or equivalent) or non-locking (p/n 3G2810V00431 or equivalent) fuel cap.
